VOD IS CONFIRMED AS A STRATEGIC HUB FOR GLOBAL JEWELLERY

VOD has been a strategic platform enabling key players in the jewellery trade the opportunity to enter new markets where there is a strong interest in high-end jewellery, and to make new business contacts within a high quality format that facilitates the sharing of information, and also showcases detailed studies of new industry trends.

The second edition of VOD has involved 21 partners and key dealers  from the Dubai Jewellery Community, whose status within the industry has made it possible to attract numerous international operators and also capitalise on the support of influential and respected brands. The show also had the support of important strategic partners, such as the Dubai Multi Commodity Center (DMCC), Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG), L’Azurde, and the Gem Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) from India.

 

The trade fair itself was preceded by a vast marketing operation to prepare for this year’s edition, with a promotional road show travelling to 35 cities in 21 different countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Indonesia, plus a series of established and emerging economies in Central Africa, such as Nigeria, Botswana, Angola, and Ghana.

 

VICENZAORO Dubai has further cemented its reputation and continues establish  the show as a point of reference for all businesses in the jewellery industry that are planning to be present in a geopolitical area with such high growth potential.

 

VOD 2016, which concluded yesterday, 17 April, recorded 10.142 visitsof international operators, buyers and visitors, from 107 countries and four strategic markets: Middle East, Eurasia, North and East Africa, and Central and Southern Asia. These figures demonstrate the global strength of the event as well as the increased opportunity for Dubai to act as a dymanic hub for the business communities in the jewellery and international luxury goods trade.

The countries with the largest number of businesses participants were: Italy, India, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Hong Kong, Belgium, KSA, Greece, Thailand, USA, Spain, China, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, France, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Lebanon, Jordan. VICENZAORO Dubai boasts an innovative B2B format that is unique within the region.

VICENZAORO DUBAI SHOWCASES STUNNING DESIGNS DURING GLOBAL BRANDS CATWALK EVENT

VICENZAORO Dubai hosted the inaugural Jewellery Celebration Awards during the opening event for VICENZAORO Dubai last night, celebrating the very best in jewellery design, innovation and retail and to recognise the brands and the individuals who have  played a leading role in shaping the landscape of the region’s jewellery industry.

The Jewellery Celebration Awards was attended by notables including Mr Matteo Marzotto, President of Fiera di Vicenza, Mr Diego Cortese, VP of Corporate Strategy Dubai World Trade Centre, Mr Corrado Facco, Managing Director of Fiera di Vicenza and Vice- Chairman of DV Global Link, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Mr Liborio Stellino, Mr. Roberto Coin, Mr Ayman Al Haffar, General Manager of L’Azurde as well as Mr. Praveen Shanker Pandya, Chairman of GJEPC and Mr. Subramanian, Editor of the New Jeweller Magazine.

HE Mona Al Marri inaugurates VICENZAORO Dubai, a leading trade show for the global jewellery industry

Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office and Chairperson of Dubai Women Establishment, Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, has inaugurated today the second edition of the International Gold Jewellery Show (VICENZAORO Dubai), in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Helal Al Marri, Director General of Tourism & Commerce Marketing and Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre Authority.

The event, being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 14 to 17 April 2016, is designed to serve as a unique networking platform for the jewellery business community, is organised by DV Global Link, a joint venture between Fiera di Vicenza, Italy’s leading organiser of jewellery events, and DWTC.

Her Excellency said during the inauguration of the event that Dubai is well positioned to be a regional hub for retail sector, given its strategic geographic location and world-class infrastructure, along with a deep rooted tradition in gold and jewellery trading tradition.

 

She also said that specialized exhibitions offers an excellent opportunity to network with local and international industry peers, and learn key trends in the industry.

 

His Excellency Helal Al Marri said that the exhibition is an important opportunity to further cement Dubai’s position as global capital of the jewellery industry, covering Arabian Gulf, Middle East and North Africa, Russia as well as Central and South East Asia regions. He also said that international brands also aims to benefit from Dubai’s brand to grab all the opportunities in order to diversify their business.

VICENZAORO DUBAI GETS READY TO OPEN UP A NEW CHAPTER IN THE GLOBAL JEWELLERY INDUSTRY

Unique networking platform for the jewellery industry gets ready to open its doors from 14 – 17 April, 2016, at Dubai World Trade Centre

VICENZAORO DUBAI gets underway next week, with a series of new events that are set to see it become the international networking platform for those involved in jewellery, gold, precious stones and diamonds.

 

Now in its second year, the event is designed for the jewellery business community and will create a centre stage for the most important players of jewellery production to present their latest and exclusive collections to some of the most qualified international operators in the world. The unique networking platform is designed for the B2B sector however visitors are welcome on the last day of the show during the ‘Jewellery Celebration’ day.

 

Following a successful Roadshow campaign, that saw the brand visit 23 countries and 31 cities over a number of months to connect with jewellery buyers, retailers and distributors, VICENZAORO DUBAI will, this year, feature new elements to make the event as easy to navigate as possible.
