The Padlock: a new iconic symbol

While imagination is a powerful tool in the hands of a designer, being able to reinvent something goes that extra mile. An exercise that often becomes the driving force behind future trends. This is shown by creations whose aspect reproposes the shape of a padlock, an item that has recently become one of the most iconic symbols in jewellery, perfect for conveying the importance of a bond.

And so, what by nature is a functional instrument of security, becomes a distinctive, decorative and highly-meaningful element in jewellery. Names such as Tiffany & Co., Unoaerre, Whynow, Brosway and Rue Des Milles are offer some interesting versions for this season in which the padlock is cleverly integrated into designs with a contemporary appeal.
