At Affide, a million euros worth of watches at auction
Prestigious timepieces from brands such as Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe and Rolex will be the focus of Affide's special auctions on 15th November in Milan and 23rd November in Rome.

Investors, collectors and admirers of the most prestigious brands of haute horlogerie can put two auction appointments in their diaries: in Milan on Wednesday 15th November (Largo Paolo Grassi 1, 4 pm) and in Rome on Thursday 23rd November (Piazza del Monte di Pietà, 5 pm). Dozens of modern and vintage watches will be auctioned off for a total auction base of approximately €860,000.
In Milan, the total auction base will be €386,000 with three particular items by Patek Philippe standing out: N140 - Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in rose gold (manual movement, cal CHR 29-535 PS Q, ref 5204R-001, chrono, split-second hand, moon phases, sapphire crystal, silver dial, pink gold deployant buckle, 40 mm), auction base €80,000; N137 - Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Grand Complications in white gold (automatic movement, cal 240, no. 7103139, ref 7140G-001, sapphire crystal, diamonds on the bezel, silver dial, leather strap, white gold buckle, 35.1 mm), auction base €35,000; and N139 - Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar in Platinum (automatic movement, cal 324 S QR, ref 5496P-001, date, day, month, moon phase, retrograde date, leap year, sapphire crystal, silver dial, leather strap, platinum buckle, 39 mm), auction base €26,000.
At the Rome appointment, where the total auction base will be about Euro 473,000, the following lots promise to be outstanding: N115 - Rolex Daytona chronograph in steel (ref. 6241, year 1968, manual winding movement, cal.722, with steel Oyster bracelet year 1991, 37 mm), auction base €25,000; N118 - Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in steel (automatic movement cal.2225, ref. case back E35919-5523, white tapisserie dial, date window at 3 o'clock, with steel bracelet, 36 mm), auction base €15,000; N43 - Patek Philippe Calatrava in platinum (Reference 5196p, manual winding movement calibre 215, case back number 427****, leather strap with platinum P.P. buckle, 38 mm, outer box), auction base €15,000.
