Chantecler celebrates the 80th anniversary of its bell
In 1944, when the whole world was waiting to turn over a new leaf, Pietro Capuano, founder of Chantecler, offered a bell as a gift to American President Roosevelt, as a symbol of peace and friendship between peoples. Since that day, the Campanella has become the most recognizable element of Chantecler's identity and its joyful tinkling has, over time, been interpreted in a thousand ways to embrace all the cultures of the earth.
The year 2024 marks its 80th anniversary, an important occasion that the brand has chosen to celebrate by enhancing its heritage. In the Year of the Bell - as Chantecler has defined 2024, which will focus entirely on renewing its iconic design - the Bell will be the absolute protagonist through a mosaic of unprecedented shapes, colors and materials. Four limited edition Bells will tell the story of four iconic female personalities and faithful friends of Chantecler who, across the decades, have shared a special moment in the company’s history. The first, dedicated to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, was unveiled in January at Vicenzaoro. The “Capriness” bell, a tribute to Capri, enhances the island's maritime identity with a striped pattern in enamel and precious stones.
The silver Campanelle in the “Et Voilà” collection are enriched with a new and amusing chromatic dimension to tell a different adventure and celebrate 80 years of history, creativity and passion. A brilliant color range of rock crystal, the enveloping hue of topaz and the iridescence of baby pink quartz. Three new sets with fluid and rounded shapes enrich the “Enchanté” collection, while the new “Joyful” models flaunt full pavé, playing on truly magical possibilities, refractions and reflections.
