Creativity Makes Every Effort
Sandrine Thibaud is a true citizen of the world. Born and raised in Africa to French parents, after a 25-year and counting career in the luxury nautical sector travelling at every latitude, she finally landed in Geneva, where she now lives and works.
Her multifaceted soul, always ready to seize anything good the “wind” might bring, has, in fact, transformed the idea of an instant into an entrepreneurial reality of international scope. A slight rewind. A few years ago, while on board a yacht and wearing a scarf, the “embryo” of what has now become Fullord, her jewellery company, began to form in her mind. A naming that is actually a neologism born from the crasisof two French terms “foulard” and “or”, which allude to the unprecedented link between a scarf and a piece of jewellery, an original idea now recognized by an international patent.
First came the inspiration for a necklace with the dual function of a “scarf holder”, followed by entire collections of jewellery designed around a very specific creative concept. And so, the thought evolved and took shape in the Eternity, Enkai and Eagle lines and then the more recent Masai and Ghost collections. Masai is a tribute to her childhood memories of Africa and to all that immense aesthetic heritage of native tribes that had so fascinated her. Ghost, on the other hand, is the perfect synthesis of the company’s DNA, that “two in one” between scarf and jewel that merges into an oval inscribed within a square that becomes earring, bracelet and necklace. One is enclosed and hidden within the other, creating an added value to the whole. What the two collections have in common is the quality of the precious, RJC-certified raw materials: 18 k gold, diamonds, a design studied and refined in the Geneva studio and brought to life in the brand’s workshops in the goldsmith district of Vicenza. But that is still not enough. The brand now consists of three parallel, yet at the same time, interconnected business branches: Fullord is therefore jewellery, silk scarves and perfumes, which “clothe” with a specifically created essence, the brand’s distinctive olfactory note.
