Eyes to be worn
Some cultures assign magical properties to jewellery and the eye is certainly among the most emblematic symbols associated with this belief. Today, as in the past, jewellery in the shape of an eye still has an alluring ancestral charm, made of mystery and deep meaning. Among contemporary models, some have a romantic meaning, others encase the power of lucky charms, while others simply arouse intrigue or enchantment.
Contemporaneity, romanticism, magic and preciousness find a particular coexistence in creations by Netali Nissim, who has carried out an in-depth aesthetic study of the symbol of the eye with the aim of creating comfortable and versatile talismans that can be worn every day without losing their considerable value linked to nature, love and spirituality.
The Casato brand, on the other hand, has chosen to adopt the tapered, rhomboid shape of the eye as the ornamental pattern on some of its unique handmade pieces: its 18-carat rose gold Inky Band Ring, with its diamond pavé and sinuous profiles, lacquered with black enamel, is a fine example.
Among the emerging names on the Italian scene, Inbilico, an Italian brand with a sustainable soul, interprets an “enigmatic look” in the minimalist design of its “Eye” single earring to create a fascinating light pattern on the lobe, thanks to white gold and lab-grown diamonds.
