Jewellery in Barbiecore style
Among the most eagerly awaited films of the moment, the highly anticipated remake of Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, due to be released in July, has set the tone for a new, extremely pop and nonconformist style that promotes pink as the must-have color of the summer.
According to Lyst data reported by BoF, fashion searches for this color have increased by almost 80%. A trend defined under the neologism Barbiecore, which brings the look of the world’s most famous doll back in vogue: bon-ton mini-dresses, shoes with very high wedges, full skirts, glitter details, frills, shiny fabrics.
All looks that could be accompanied by bijoux or precious jewellery. Indeed, a multitude of materials and gemstones used in jewellery could embody this new trend, starting with classic yellow or pink gold, continuing on through rubies, rubellite, quartz and rhodonite up to resin and matching enamel applications.
With its exceptional lofty design, the Reve_R ring by Mattioli, in white gold adorned with white and black diamonds and rubies, is the embodiment of an evening party in Barbiecore spirit. The Diana bracelet by Aurélie Bidermann reveals a glamorous and delicate soul through gold-profiled, prink resin interlacing. Lastly, Unoaerre's gilded silver ring with rubellite pink crystal expresses all the jaunty and sparkling character of the eternal girl who has become an authentic style icon.
