Pink coral time
Fresh from its nomination, the Pantone 2024 Color of the Year is called Peach Fuzz, a delicate and soft shade of peach.
«In search of a shade that would echo our innate desire for closeness and connection, we chose a color that radiates warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace and effortlessly unites youth with eternity,» said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute.
A pleasant shade of peach, somewhere between pink and orange, it brings to mind one of the most classic yet sophisticated and contemporary jewellery protagonists: pink coral. Also known as angel skin, this rare type of coral has always been one of the most prized and is a perfect match for the sentiments embodied in the new color of the year, described as follows: «Peach Fuzz 13-1023 is an inviting color that stands out and enhances, an invigorating peach tone that inspires and drives us towards new contacts. It infuses a tactile and concrete message with a velvety finish and is elegantly enveloping and soft to the touch.»
Its workmanship is the prerogative of a number of companies that research and experiment coral, such as Pallavidini, Bruno Mazza and De Simone Gioielli, whose unique compositions manage to enhance all its beauty.
