Swatch expands its properties in London
Ninety million Swiss francs was the sum paid by the Swatch Group for a prestigious property on New Bond Street, one of London's most luxurious thoroughfares. Since 2006, the building, located at number 171 on the famous street in the heart of Mayfair, has been the home of one of the international luxury brands, Harry Winston’s salons. Built in 1856, the property has an area of 562 square meters and all the collections of the Harry Winston diamond jewellery brand are spread over five floors. In the first half of this year, the Group had already acquired a 1,347 m2 property on Old Bond Street for about CHF 120 million, as well as a store on the Champs-Elysées in Paris.
Harry Winston, the legendary “king of diamonds”, reopened his London boutique in 2016 after nine months of renovations. The New Bond Street salon houses Harry Winston's finest high jewellery and watch collections, including the world's rarest diamonds and gemstones available today.
