Vintage revival
Chains, solid gold and great character. The elements that made several designs of the past famous continue to distinguish a constantly fascinating type of beauty, sanctioning the revival of vintage jewellery.
Numerous brands are looking back to bygone eras to celebrate and modernize the charm of iconic models through quality materials, craftsmanship and authenticity, revamped with just the right amount of contemporary flair.
The Soleil collection by Marina B particularly stands out. Fourty years after founder Marina Bulgari launched the Sole collection, new creative director, Guy Bedarida, decided to reinterpret it with a modern twist. «Intrigued by its beauty and meaning, I was instinctively attracted to this collection.» The new series consists of rings, earrings and bracelets in which the contours of the sun, decorated with diamonds, give light and positivity.
Bizzotto Gioielli has dedicated an entire collection to chain, a great jewellery classic, by reprocessing the concept with creativity and personality. «The story of Blink began with simple chain links that embrace a creative provocation: never interrupt the regularity and rhythm of the design. It is an ambitious desire that comes to life through craftsmanship and futuristic experimentation. We wanted each length to be a unique product where the clasp itself is an integral part of the link. We wanted to create an indissoluble “Link” that would bear the B of Bizzotto forever.» Lastly, the Milano Exclusive choker by Tirisi made of thick square gold links with a central diamond-pavé pendant, evokes all the glamour of the 1970s.
